Thornhill Blues Festival
Thornhill inaugural Blues Festival will be on the 29th and 30th April 2011
The Oli Brown Band secured support slots in 2008 with artist such as Jon Cleary, Johnny Winter, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Robben Ford, Walter Trout and Devon Allman, as well as having Oli Brown Band headline gigs. All of the gigs saw them playing in larger venues and increasing their rapidly growing fan base.

Aynsley picked up the guitar at 8 and played his first gig at 13. One year later on a family trip to San Francisco, he was jamming at ‘Lou’s Bar’ on Pier 49. Brought up on his father’s record collection, he had learned to play by ear and would sit for hours in his bedroom [...]

Realising at an early age that if you picked up a guitar you got attention, especially from her dad whose guitar it usually was, it was inevitable that she would get one of her own. So at the ripe old age of three, she got her first guitar, a half size acoustic.

The Junkyard Dawgs are a band from Ayrshire which consit of, Joe King on lead vocals, harmonica and bass guitar, Johnny Shedden on the drums, Mark Borland playing lead guitar and last but not least Kerr Strachan on vocals and rhythm/lead guitar.

Baby Isaac capture the essence of 50’s Chicago Blues & West Coast Swing. Influenced by such Blues greats as T-Bone Walker, BB King, Little Walter and Sonny Terry, the band have successfully developed their unique sound, loosely termed as ‘Goodtime Blues’, into a powerful yet dynamic mix of Blues, Swing, R & B and Jazz.
